Girl Scouts in Columbia, Dauphin, Fulton, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, and York counties keep busy during November

We love getting to see all of the great things our Girl Scouts are doing in their local communities! In November, our girls were busy celebrating Juliette Gordon Low’s birthday, collecting donations for those in need, honoring veterans, and so much more.

Girl Scouts represent at community Trunk-or-Treat event in York County.

Girl Scouts in York County participated in a Trunk-or-Treat event at Brookside Park in Dover Township.

Juniors celebrate 110 anniversary with Girl Scout tea party.

Junior Girl Scouts from Troop 14104 in Dauphin County celebrated Girl Scouts’ 110 anniversary with a tea party event. The girls learned about Girl Scout traditions and shared stories and mementos with former and current Girl Scout friends and family.

New Daisy and Brownie troop hold an investiture ceremony and honor Juliette Gordon Low.

Daisy and Brownie Girl Scouts from Troop 10840 in Dauphin County held an investiture ceremony and Founder’s Day celebration. Keeping it girl-led, the Girl Scouts helped to plan the ceremony. The girls honored Juliette Gordon Low by making pearl bracelets with their troop number on them.

Ambassadors join Daisies and Brownies to celebrate Halloween and Juliette Gordon Low’s birthday.

Daisy, Brownie, and Ambassador Girl Scouts from Troops 60271 and 60041 in Lycoming County came together for a Halloween/Juliette Gordon Low birthday party celebration. The younger Girl Scouts had fun mummy wrapping the older Girl Scouts and making Juliette Gordon Low-themed crafts.

Columbia County troop honors veterans at parade.

Girl Scouts from Troop 32907 in Columbia County honored local veterans during the Bloomsburg Veterans Parade. The girls decorated a float, handed out candy to spectators, and thanked veterans for their service along the parade route.

Brownies host food collection to support veterans during Thanksgiving.

Brownie Girl Scouts from Troop 52337 in Monroe County collected 420 boxes of cake and icing for Paul’s House VALOR Foundation Clinic. The troop’s donations will go toward the Thanksgiving holiday meal program which serves meal boxes to at-risk veteran families.

Luzerne County troop helps collect glove donations for foster care foundation.

Girl Scouts from Troop 33204 in Luzerne County collaborated with Swoyersville Borough’s parks and recreation board to “give gLOVEs” to over 300 children from Brandon’s Forever Home, a nonprofit seeking to raise awareness about children in foster care.

Fulton County troop completes Christmas service project.

Girl Scouts from Troop 80338 in Fulton County got into the Christmas spirit by assembling boxes for Operation Christmas Child with the Needmore Bible Church. The boxes will be distributed all over the world to children in need.
