We are less than three weeks away from Girl Scout Week, giving you plenty of time to prepare for our very own GSHPA Spirit Week! Join us in celebrating each day from March 12-18 with a variety of themes and activities that explore the multiple aspects of Girl Scouting.
Share your week-long celebrations by submitting a Mission Moment or engaging with us on social media. Just check the GSHPA Facebook page each day, comment to respond to the daily prompt, and hashtag #GSWeek2023 on your post. We can’t wait to share all the awesome ways our Girl Scouts celebrated in a Spirit Week recap on the blog!
Sunday, March 12: Girl Scouts’ Birthday/Girl Scout Sunday
Happy Birthday Girl Scouts! March 12 commemorates the day in 1912 when Juliette Gordon Low officially registered the organization’s first 18-member troop in Savannah, Ga. March 12 is also Girl Scout Sunday, a time for Girl Scouts to reflect on the Girl Scout Promise and the importance of their own faith and religion as part of their Girl Scout journey.
How to Engage: Share a photo showing how you celebrated Girl Scouts’ birthday or write in a brief response sharing how you connect the Girl Scout Promise and Law with your faith. Please include your first name and the county you reside in if responding on social media.
Monday, March 13: Man Enough Monday

Celebrate the male supporter(s) in your life who have been a part of your Girl Scout journey. Whether it’s a brother who cheered you on as you completed a Girl Scout project, a dad who helped you set up your cookie booth, or a grandpa who drives you to troop meetings, give a shout out to those who are “man enough” for Girl Scouts!

Tuesday, March 14: Eat. Share. Care.
It’s Girl Scout Cookie Season making it a perfect opportunity to share our favorite sweet treats with others! Encourage someone in your community to enjoy some Girl Scout Cookies, share some with a friend, or donate cookies to GSHPA’s Gift of Caring initiative – every bite counts!
How to Engage: Share a photo of you and a community member, friend, or family member enjoying Girl Scout Cookies together. Please include your first name and the county you reside in if responding on social media.
