Last week Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania (GSHPA) hosted a Spirit Week to celebrate Girl Scout Week 2023.
We encouraged our members to celebrate each day from March 12-18 with a variety of themes and activities that explored the multiple aspects of Girl Scouting. We asked our girls and volunteers to share their celebrations with us on social media and they did not disappoint!
Check out the slideshows below to see how Girl Scouts celebrated #GSWeek2023!

1-1-1 Birthday Challenge
In honor of Girl Scouts’ 111th birthday, we challenged Girl Scouts to share one thing they learned in Girl Scouts, the name of one friend they made through Girl Scouts, and one thing they love about Girl Scouts.
“I learned new songs, and how to make new friends. I met my friend Willow who is a Brownie, and I loved that I got to sell cookies.” – First-year Daisy Girl Scout Caroline, submission provided by Kimber Hofmann
“When I asked my daughter one thing she learned in Girl Scouts, she said, ‘When you’re brushing your teeth, don’t leave the water on and try to hurry up in the shower.’ We talked about this at our last meeting because we are working toward the World Thinking Day badge! When I asked her one friend she made through Girl Scouts, she said, ‘My new friend Josie!’ One thing she loves about Girl Scouts is earning badges.” – Alicia Dobbs on behalf of her daughter
“Lyndsay learned how to take the reigns in running a small business and is quite the little cookie seller! She met Renee and they both love axolotls! Her favorite thing to do is go white water rafting with her troop and relax on the river.” – Karen McGinnis on behalf of Girl Scout Lyndsay
Thank you to all of the Girl Scouts and volunteers who participated in our GSHPA Spirit Week!
