Many girls will soon be eligible to become adult members, allowing that Girl Scout connection to continue.

May brings so many exciting outdoor events for girls and adults alike through Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania’s program team and program partners! There is also still time for girls to register for Summer Camp so they can create special Girl Scout memories that will last a lifetime.
I know many of you are busy planning end-of-year celebrations and adventures, bridging and recognition ceremonies, or Highest Awards projects that empower girls to make an impact in their communities. As many Girl Scouts prepare for their end of year events before taking a break to enjoy the summer with family, I want to take a moment to thank you for your dedication to the mission over this past year – your efforts are the reason that we can build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
I am very happy to share thousands of girls and hundreds of volunteers have already made the commitment to return for another year of Girl Scouting through our Early Bird renewal period. There is still time for families to take advantage of our May Early Bird incentive of $10 off girl memberships for girls who renew by May 31. Your Volunteer Support Coordinator will be happy to assist with the renewal process if needed.
There are also many girls aging out of their girl membership role as they graduate from high school next month who are now eligible to become adult members. As adult members, they can stay connected to the Girl Scout sisterhood, volunteer as their time allows, and continue to support the mission. They are also eligible for a special young alum lifetime membership for just $200, half the price of a regular lifetime membership. Lifetime memberships include benefits such as discounts and invitations to special events, as well as an automatic donation of $25 that is used to fund a year of membership for a girl in need.
I look forward to hearing about your year-end events and encourage you to share your May adventures in Girl Scouting through our Mission Moment form!
