Over 100 Daisy to Ambassador Girl Scouts from Service Units 624 and 628 in Lycoming County kicked off Cookie Season with a cookie rally and beach dance party event. Girls participated in multiple activities including t-shirt tie dye, nail painting, sea creature themed crafts, games, and a mock cookie booth.

Luzerne County troops wrap up the holiday season by giving back to others.
Girl Scouts from several troops in Luzerne County brightened the holiday season for others through community service projects.
Girl Scouts from Troops 30300, 30828, 34671, and 33206 spread some holiday cheer to residents at the Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center. The girls sang songs with the residents and enjoyed reading, “The Night Before Christmas.”
Girl Scouts from Troops 32817, 30828, 30300, 34671, 33206, and 30130 packed boxes for the Senior Food Box Program at the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank. The food bank serves clients in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Susquehanna, and Wyoming counties.
Girl Scouts from Troops 30130, 30301, and 34671 participated in laying wreaths at the Hanover Green Cemetery in Hanover Township for National Wreaths Across America Day in December. This is the third year the troops have participated, and they helped remove the wreaths on Jan. 14.
Juniors problem solve and design during GSHPA on Wheels programming.
Junior Girl Scouts from Troop 10645 in Cumberland County received a visit from GSHPA on Wheels to participate in the Escape Room and 3D Design Challenge programs. The group had a great time and enjoyed GSHPA Program Coordinator Dale Bond’s presentations.
Ambassador travels to Georgia to explore Girl Scouts’ origins.
Ambassador Girl Scout Sarah K. from Troop 60041 in Lycoming County visited Girl Scouts’ birthplace and first headquarters in Savannah, Ga. during her holiday break. She also toured the Andrew Low House (Juliette Gordon Low’s father-in-law), visited the church where Juliette Gordon Low was christened and married, and encountered “Daisy” herself on a trolley tour of Savannah.
Daisy connects with Girl Scouts outside of PA through coding badge series.
A Daisy Girl Scout from Troop 10840 in Dauphin County joined Girl Scouts online to participate in the virtual Daisy Coding for Good badge series offered by Girl Scouts of Maine. Through the series girls learned coding basics, how to create storyboards, and how to create mini movies on computer program ScratchJr.
