Spring forward with Girl Scouts

It feels good to be enjoying the spring weather, and if you have been out and about for festivals, kid’s events and fun fests, you probably have seen our Girl Scouts staff and volunteers.

Since April, we have had on our schedule more than a dozen events we are attending to help share the good work of Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania.

Just recently, (on April 22) we attended ABC 27 Family Fun Day (photos below) at the Harrisburg Mall and on April 29 we are planning to attend events in Carlisle and Lewisburg. Our council covers 30 counties, and although it’s impossible to be everywhere, we are trying our best.

In May, we will be attending Healthy Kids Day in Scranton and Lebanon, and we are very excited to be hosting Remake Learning Day at Camp Happy Valley on May 7. This day-long event is a free yearly festival for families celebrating the vibrancy of life as we celebrate the four seasons.

This year’s May 7 theme is Quest for Adventure! Travel back to an alternate past where magic abounds and technology is unveiling new innovations! Get ready to quest around Camp Happy Valley as you seek to complete challenges, try hands-on problem-solving, create, and so much more. This event is open to both Girl Scouts and the general public, so come on out and bring a friend! Register here.

We round out more summer events in June with the Adams County Library Fun Fest and Jubilee Days in Mechanicsburg, ECO Experience Codorus Outdoors near Hanover and Girl Scout Night at the York Revolution, the Lancaster Barnstormers and Scranton’s Juneteenth Jubilee Block Party.

Join us as we share how we build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place!
